Kaitlyn Bristowe gives update on 'Dancing With the Stars' ankle injury

September 28, 2020

Kaitlyn Bristowe is gearing up to perform on this week's episode of "Dancing With the Stars."

While the "Bachelorette" alum was almost forced to sit out last week's episode due to an ankle injury, she's ready to take on a new dance with her partner in a Disney-themed episode.

Bristowe took to Instagram with an update on how she's doing amid the injury.

"Not gonna lie. It's been a tough week," the star wrote on Instagram Sunday. "Ankle is still so sore which as really put a damper on rehearsing. No MRI results as of this minute, which has been mentally draining too."

The post also announced that she will be portraying Moana in the show's upcoming episode.

In order to secure her spot in the upcoming episode with an injury, Bristowe and her partner, Artem Chigvintsev, will need all of the viewer votes they can get. "So we are going to need those votes tomorrow night!!" she writes on her Instagram.

This season's "Dancing With the Stars" has featured other celebrity performers like Nev Schulman, Carole Baskin, Nelly, AJ Mclean, and Vernon Davis among others.

This is the first season which has not seen Tom Bergeron as the host, and while viewers have been disappointed by the change, Bergeron has taken it in stride by making subtle jabs at the show on his social media accounts.

He even changed his Twitter bio to read “Former Co-Host of ‘Footwork With the Famous.'"
