August 4, 2014 2:41 PM

For music fanatics, summertime means a booked schedule with music festivals all over the country. New York had the Governors Ball, Tennessee had Bonnaroo and this weekend Chicago, Illinois hosted the always-epic Lollapalooza festival.

In Chicago’s Grant Park, dozens of artists of all different genres took the stage and put on amazing shows. From rappers Eminem and Iggy Azalea to DJs Martin Garrix and Calvin Harris, Lollapalooza’s star-studded lineup for this year did not disappoint.

With so many great artists, it’s impossible to pick just one moment to be the highlight of this year’s festival. Here are some of our favorite performances from this year’s Lollapalooza festival. (All photos by Theo Wargo/Getty Images)

Iggy Azalea

With Iggy Azalea’s reign over the 2014 music scene, it was no surprise that she would perform at one of the country’s biggest music festivals and completely own it. She performed her hits “Fancy” and “Work,” as well as her new single “Black Widow” which features Rita Ora (who, unfortunately, was not at the festival).

Calvin Harris

It was fitting for Calvin Harris to be one of the main acts of this summer’s Lollapalooza considering the title of his hit song “Summer.” Although it was not his first Lollapalooza appearance, the crowd went wild as Calvin Harris played their favorite songs.

Here’s his set list: Under Control, Thinking About You, Watch Out For This (Major Lazer), C.U.B.A, BAD (David Guetta), I Need Your Love, My Love (Route 94), Feel So Close, Booyah (Showtek), Sweet Nothing, We’ll Be Coming Back, Ping Pong (Armin van Buuren), We Found Love, Flashback, Bounce, I Love It (Icona Pop) Safe and Sound (Capital Cities), Animals (Martin Garrix), Summer, Eat Sleep Rave Repeat (Fatboy Slim), Love Me Again

Lorde was one of the most anticipated performances of Lollapalooza this year and she did not disappoint. Performing her songs “Royals” and “Team” were a must. But her performance would not have been as complete without her signature hand gestures.

Here’s her set list: Glory and Gore, Biting Down, Tennis Court, White Teeth, Teens,
Buzzcut Season, 400 Lux, Easy (Son Lux cover), Ribs, Royals, Team, A World Alone.

Since they reunited at Coachella in April, Outkast has been all over the music festival scene. To throw it back, Outkast performed some of their older hits including “Ms. Jackson” and “Hey Ya!”. During the “Hey Ya!” performance, they celebrated and danced with fans onstage.

Eminem (and Rihanna!)

Although Eminem has played a few music festivals before, his performance at this year’s Lollapalooza was unlike any other. As a headliner, he played all of his hits, new and old, like “Lose Yourself” and “Like Toy Soldiers.”

Eminem was also joined by his The Monster Tour partner Rihanna for a few songs, like their hit “Love The Way You Lie.”

Rapper Nas was all about bringing it old school at Lollapalooza this year. He performed songs from his debut album “Illmatic” that was released 20 years ago. You could tell his songs never get old as the crowd went crazy during his set.
