Lindsey Stirling has carved herself into quite the successful niche in the music industry; an extremely talented and versatile violinist who can play along with most any genre, whether it be rock, pop, hip hop, among others.
It’s hard to argue with her ability as an entertainer when you watch her most epic music videos.
While on Facebook Live with Carson & Cane this afternoon, Stirling discussed her latest single – “Something Wild” – with pop punk mainstay, Andrew McMahon.
“He [McMahon] is the nicest guy and so talented,” says Stirling. “I’ve been a fan of his for a really long time. In high school, Something Corporate was my jam. When I was in college, I was all about Jack’s Mannequin; and so to be able to work with him – I was trying to play it super cool – but as soon as he went in to record in the vocal booth, I was just like *fan girl squeal*”
Coincidentally, Stirling heard “Something Wild” on the radio while en route to her stop at the Adorama Live Theatre.
“That feeling will never get old,” says Stirling. “I was like, ‘Oh my gosh! It’s my song!’ It’s a very emotional moment.”
