There aren’t many pop music groups from Denmark who have crossed over and found success in the United States, but Lukas Graham appears to be on the brink. Much of that can be attributed to their upbringing: singer Lukas Graham Forchhammer joined the Copenhagen Boys’ Choir at the age of eight, grew up adoring the folk music from his father’s native Ireland, and credits Dr. Dre’s 2001 as a life-altering listening experience.

Graham, and his fellow bandmates — Mark “Lovestick” Falgren (drums), Magnus “Magnúm” Larsson (bass) and Kasper Daugaard (keyboard) — officially enlightened American audiences with there first interview in the U.S. when they stepped into the Adorama Live Theatre with Fresh 102.7’s Carson and Cane to talk about growing up, getting drunk, and strippers.

Lukas Graham’s biggest hit to date is “Drunk In The Morning”; an upbeat party song about drinking with your boys, kissing girls, and dialing up a booty call at the end of the night.

“We were in the studio one night and we had no women… single men… alcohol was involved, blood started rushing to the wrong head and we agreed to get women into the studio we must write the most perfectly written booty call song,” says Graham of “Drunk In The Morning.”
