Yesterday, news broke that that Sheryl Crow was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor. Now the singer is letting all her fans know that she really is doing okay.

She took to Twitter last night to reassure her fans that they shouldn’t be concerned about her health:

Crow is currently 5 years cancer-free after undergoing treatment for breast cancer starting in 2006, has admitted to suffering a bit of memory loss as of late, causing her to forget the lyrics of “Soak Up The Sun” at a recent show.  But the tumor is benign, hence why Crow placed the words “brain tumor” in quotes.

The “If It Makes You Happy” singer also wrote a longer note to all her Facebook friends saying, “I know some folks can have problems with this kind of thing, but I want to assure everyone I’m OK.”

The 50-year-old even lets everyone know she’s not slowing down one bit. Crow is hitting the road later this month with a new band and working on a follow-up to her 2010 album, 100 Miles From Memphis.

She went on to ask for a different kind of support from fans in a later tweet:

Her upcoming tour kicks off June 16 in Enterprise, Alabama.  And she just asks that everyone excuse her if she forgets any of the lyrics.
