Kelly Clarkson wrote her song “Stronger” for all those who’ve suffered a broken heart. But she probably never imagined it would become an anthem for those suffering from something much worse.
Recently, the young cancer patients at Seattle Children’s Hospital made their own video for “Stronger” featuring the kids mouthing along to the song’s inspiring lyrics. The mastermind behind the video is 22-year-old Chris Rumble, one of the older patients at Seattle Children’s and resident “big brother”, who originally wanted to make a music video to share with his hockey team. On the hospital’s site, Rumble said he’s a fan of Kelly Clarkson and thought the words were perfect for relating to cancer.
The singer quickly tweeted her love for the clip.
Oh my goodness y’all have to see this! It’s beautiful! I can’t wait to visit these kids and nurses! It’s Seattle Child… say.ly/erx3gkf

But in a new video message, the singer lets the kids and nurses featured in the YouTube clip know how much it’s meant to her and everyone else who’s watched it online. Since the video was posted on May 5, it’s been watched over 930,000 times.
“It’s so beautiful and so meaningful, I just can’t wait to meet you! I think that’s the coolest thing to watch” She then added, “I’m not gonna cry right now because I have to perform, but it was just so beautiful.”
Though Clarkson plans to visit the hospital, no official date has been set as of yet. The singer starts her U.S. tour in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 23, but will be in the Washington area for two gigs on July 21 and 22.
