Sunday Nights GRAMMY Awards are going to be filled with non-stop excitement some obvious winners, but what makes the night so exciting are the upsets!  These are the artists who win, that you thought would definitely not take home a GRAMMY!  Check out who we think may be upsets or guaranteed winners this year!

GRAMMY AWARD for Record of the Year

The Record of the Year category at this year’s Grammy Awards brings together some of the catchiest tunes of the past year-and-a-half — going clear back to [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Jay-Z[/lastfm] and Alicia Keys’Empire State of Mind.”. That anthem will face competition from another duet Eminem and Rihanna’sLove the Way You Lie.” Also in the mix are Cee-Lo Green’s viral smash “Forget You,” Lady Antebellum’sNeed You Now” and B.o.B and Bruno Mars’sNothin’ on You.”

Our pick:Empire State of Mind“, for obvious reasons…Go NY!

GRAMMY AWARD for Song of the Year

The Song of the Year category at the Grammy Awards often provides the most surprises, and this year is no exception! Nominations, which go to a tune’s writers rather than its performers, went to three likely candidates Lady Antebellum’sNeed You Now,” Eminem and Rihanna’sLove the Way You Lie” and Cee-Lo Green’sForget You.” But the category also has two songs that can make for another Song of The Year Upset! They are: Ray LaMontagne’sBeg, Steal or Borrow” and country singer Miranda Lambert’sThe House That Built Me.”

Our pick: Look for “The House That Built Me” to take this one home!

GRAMMY AWARD for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance

Eighteen months after his death, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Michael Jackson[/lastfm] looms over the Best Male Pop Performance category at this year’s Grammy Awards. The late King of Pop’s “This Is It” is one of the leading contenders, alongside Michael Buble’sHaven’t Met You Yet,” John Mayer’sHalf of My Heart,”  Adam Lambert’sWhataya Want From Me” and Bruno Mars’sJust the Way You Are“.

Our pick: [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Michael Jackson[/lastfm] wins this catergory.  It’s a shame that he won’t be there to accept it.  R.I.P. Michael Jackson.

GRAMMY AWARD for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance

The Best Female Pop Vocal Performance category at this year’s Grammy Awards would make an excellent Cat Fight! Lined up waiting for this award are [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lady Gaga[/lastfm] with “Bad Romance,” [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Katy Perry[/lastfm] with  “Teenage Dream,” [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Sara Bareilles[/lastfm] with “King of Anything,” [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Norah Jones[/lastfm] with “Chasing Pirates” and a live version of  “Halo” by [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Beyonce[/lastfm].

Our pick: Wow, this is a TOUGH one!  With that said, look for Lady Gaga to grab the GRAMMY for “Bad Romance.”

GRAMMY AWARD for Best Pop Vocal Album

It seems like [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lady Gaga[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Katy Perry[/lastfm] have been duking it out all year!  This Sunday will offer some end to it….at least for now!  Lady Gaga’s The Fame Monster and Katy’s Perry’s Teenage Dream are both up for Best Pop Vocal album. They’ll battle with Justin Bieber’s My World 2.0, John Mayer’s Battle Studies and Susan Boyle’s worldwide smash I Dreamed a Dream.

Our pick: It doesn’t seem that any of these ladies can defeat [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Justin Beiber[/lastfm]!

Don’t forget that The GRAMMY Awards air live from L.A. on Sunday Night on CBS!
