The Muppet Movie is brought to a Sing-Along, the Holiday Show at the New York Botanical Garden Opens, Football at Yankee Stadium and more!   Find out where it is on our list of What’s Fresh Around Town today and this weekend!

1. For tonight only, the 92Y Tribeca is holding a Sing-Along for The Muppet Movie!  Join your fellow Muppet fans for a beer and a trip to the Rainbow Connection.  It starts at 11pm!

2. The 16th Annual Union Square Holiday Market opens today and runs through Dec. 24.

3. Holiday Train Show opens at the New York Botanical Garden.  Garden-scale model trains puff along a half-mile of track in and around the 140 landmark buildings constructed entirely of natural materials: nuts, tree bark, fruits, pinecones, and leaves.  It runs through Jan. 9.

4. This weekend, the Backstage Theater Company is performing the original play “2 A.M.” at the Farmingdale State College!  It’s happening at 8pm at the Little Theater.

5. Speaking of theater, Sunday is opening night on Broadway for the comedy “Elling” with Brendan Fraser.  That’s running through March 20.

6. In sports, the College Football Series hits Yankee Stadium on Saturday as Notre Dame plays Army at 7pm.  And on Sunday, the Jest play the Houston Texans at the New Meadowlands at 1 p.m.
