[lastfm]Chris Daughtry[/lastfm] says he more proud of [lastfm]Daughtry[/lastfm]’s current song Septemberthan any song [he’s] ever written or co-written.” Daughtry began composing “September” backstage at a show and admits he stole the guitar riff from the song “Breakdown” from the first Daughtry album. But he says that’s okay, “because I’m not going to sue myself.” Chris brought in Daughtry guitarist Josh Seely to help him finish the song, and says once he rhymed September and remember, he knew the song’s title and that it would be about remembering the end of summer when he was a kid.
